We are currently in need of Echocardiography Technicians who are available to work full-time (40hrs per week) in Tacoma and Bellevue, Washington.
Ã¢€Â¢ Prepares for examinations by checking equipment and inventory
Ã¢€Â¢ Reviewing patient schedules
Ã¢€Â¢ Reading physician orders for specific examinations
Ã¢€Â¢ Setting-up recording equipment
Ã¢€Â¢ Entering patient information into system
Ã¢€Â¢ Reduces patient anxieties by explaining procedures
Ã¢€Â¢ Prepares patients by spreading gels, attaching electrodes to chest and equipment, adjusting equipment controls and verifying wave signals
Ã¢€Â¢ Obtains quality images by positioning and repositioning transducer, monitoring display screen, listening to signals, adjusting equipment for beam strength and focus, detecting artifacts that mimic abnormalities and recording images.
Ã¢€Â¢ Records examination information by printing graphics and data, calculating measurements of heart wall, chamber size, and blood flow direction and velocity; and comparing measurements to norms
Ã¢€Â¢ Protects patients by adhering to safety policies and protocols.
Ã¢€Â¢ Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
Ã¢€Â¢ Creating a work sheet and fill out the web form accordingly
Ã¢€Â¢ Sends the study to the reading Doctor via shared drive
Ã¢€Â¢ Excellent scanner Ã¢€“ knowledgeable and must have a registry in echo
Ã¢€Â¢ At least 2 years of working experience related to the role
Ã¢€Â¢ Must be comfortable in scanning independently
Ã¢€Â¢ Must finished an 18-month or 2-year educational program
Ã¢€Â¢ Knows how to operate Vivid I, MindRay, and Cypress
Ã¢€Â¢ Should have the following characteristics: Emotional Control, Professionalism, Mature, Responsible and Bedside Manner
Ã¢€Â¢ Good customer service and computer skills
Ã¢€Â¢ Good communication skills
Ã¢€Â¢ Comfortable in traveling/going to the office
