Job Description
A Loan Officer Assistant works alongside designated Loan officers in a productive environment. This position involves supporting a team in the loan origination process as well as performing daily administrative tasks. Tasks are completed with a deadline and with proficiency .
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
â€Â¢ Perform specific tasks assigned by loan officer
â€Â¢ Ensure files move through processing and closing in a timely manner
â€Â¢ Establish appointments with clients
â€Â¢ Meet with clients to complete necessary documents
â€Â¢ Make copies of important documents
â€Â¢ Promptly respond to client’s questions and concerns
â€Â¢ Follow up with clients at all times, keeping them informed of the loan process
â€Â¢ Accurately obtain & review applicant’s credit history
â€Â¢ Systematically store and maintain client data and files
â€Â¢ Properly prepare files for submission to processing
â€Â¢ Daily illustration of excellent customer service skills with clients and applicants to ensure client retention
â€Â¢ Efficiently perform a variety of research duties in support of the branch
â€Â¢ Stay acquainted with assigned Loan Officer’s daily schedule
â€Â¢ Proficiently assist in the development of financial objectives in association with present data
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
â€Â¢ Interview prospects for possible qualification.
â€Â¢ Conduct the pre-qual and pull the credit for likely prospects.
â€Â¢ Assist the Loan Officer and Loan Processor with originating and completing loans.
â€Â¢ Assist the Loan Officer and Loan Processor in communicating with and following up with clients and real estate agents.
Qualifications
â€Â¢ You must have 3 years of current experience.
â€Â¢ You must be familiar with FHA, VA, & Conventional (Fannie/Freddie/Portfolio) loan processing and originating.
â€Â¢ You must know how to price a loan and disclose.
â€Â¢ You must know how to put together a complete file.
â€Â¢ You must have a thorough knowledge of the loan process from beginning to end.
â€Â¢ You must be personable, presentable, and professional over the phone and in person.
â€Â¢ You must be someone for whom customer service and helping others is a priority.
â€Â¢ You must have an Encompass software system experience
