Wellons Communications (http://wellonscommunications.com) is a PR firm in Orlando in search of an experienced Public Relations Specialist who would like to grow with our agency.

Responsibilities:

Media relations
Write press releases, pitches, blogs web copy, newsletters, etc.
Social Media
Use Cision to research journalists, build/update media lists
Research and maintain editorial calendars
Participate in client calls and meetings
Research news trends for clients
Manage deadlines and multiple projects

Skills Required:

Minimum 1 year experience in an agency or in journalism
Must be able to generate press release, web site content and social media
Must be able to juggle multiple clients effectively and efficiently
Knowledge of email distribution systems
Writing and copy editing skills
Experience with and strong understanding of social media platforms
Must have excellent communication skills
Deadline oriented, organized, accurate and strong skills in multi-tasking
Experience with CisionPoint, WordPress and Constant Contact
Solid computer skills including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Adobe
Must be a team player
Knowledge of AP style
Writing samples required
